My folks live in an Atlantic Broadband area where the T6 tivo (cable co version of Tivo) will be available. Curiously, Netflix won't be on it, initially.
Anyway, couple of Qs...
1) Still has a cable card in it someplace? Presumably, preinstalled (or installed by the installer?)... if there is a cable card internal to it, I would hope they've worked out all the fun cable card bugs
2) SDV... don't know if Atlantic BB uses this... if they don't I would presume they will at some point for bandwidth reasons. So, does the T6 have built in two way communicatons or is it still unidirectional on the cable and using the ethernet or even some sort of moca to communicate back? I could even see them not doing a real two way but instead just incorporating the tuning adapter hw inside the box with an internal usb connection. Whatever the soln, hopefully more reliable than my TWC tuning adapter which locks up every month.
3) On demand... any ideas on how they are making this work?
Thanks.
